Successful Outcome in Business Conspiracy Case

Vandeventer Black LLP secured another successful outcome recently, obtaining a judgment for an insurer client of over $4 million paid by the insurer under an employee theft policy relating to a broad ranging conspiracy scheme by those employees and their co-conspirators. Tony Mazzeo led our firm’s trial team for the case. After a recent six-day trial, the court awarded judgment in the full amount against all of the defendants that had not settled out already, including recovery of the insurer’s attorney’s fees under Virginia’s business conspiracy statute.

This case is another example of Vandeventer Black’s capability and success handling these and similar complex commercial matters, and our firm’s commercial litigation strength otherwise in a broad array of businesses and industries.
