Genzler Named Best Lawyers 2014 Litigation-Construction “Lawyer of the Year”

NORFOLK, VA. Vandeventer Black LLP is pleased to announce that Patrick A. Genzler has been named The Best Lawyers in America’s ® 2014 Norfolk Litigation-Construction  “Lawyer of the Year.”

Genzler concentrates his practice in construction, environmental, technology, and government contracts law in addition to international business matters. He has assisted construction contractors with business formation and incorporation, formation of teaming arrangements and joint ventures for design-build and public-private ventures.  Genzler has also represented contractors in contract disputes and litigation of large claims in excess of $70 million. Additionally, he represents government contractors in formation of businesses including small business entities, contract drafting and negotiation, regulatory compliance advise, claims, and litigation matters.

Genzler’s environmental practice involves the representation of business and industrial clients in a wide range matters relating to regulatory compliance, permitting, enforcement and litigation, which span virtually all environmental regulatory programs in addition to federal as well as state environmental laws.

Genzler was formerly a naval officer, and served as both a surface line officer and a Navy JAG for twenty years. His Navy assignments were varied and included assignments as the Assistant Director of Naval Intelligence for Legal Affairs, and as the Regional Environmental Counsel for the U.S. Atlantic Fleet. He has held Top Secret and special access security clearances.
