Vandeventer Black is pleased to announce that Managing Partner, Michael L. Sterling, was elected to the Barrier Islands Center (BIC) Board of Directors. According to the organization, the BIC’s mission is to “preserve and perpetuate the unique culture and history of Virginia’s Barrier Islands through education and the collection and interpretation of artifacts.”
“It is an honor to be elected to BIC’s Board of Directors, and I look forward to furthering the organization’s history and mission,” said Sterling.
Sterling has served on the Firm’s Executive Board and Chaired the Construction and Government Contracts Practice Group, Practice Management Committee, and Dispute Resolution Services. His legal practice is concentrated on complex projects and disputes for international, national, and local clients, focusing on compliance and other regulatory issues. He is experienced in a wide range of project delivery methods, including design-build and public-private partnerships.
