In-person Events COVID-19 Safety Precautions

At Vandeventer Black, we are excited to host live events again and see everyone face-to-face. We continue to follow the CDC Guidelines and the possible changes to the mask/social distancing mandates to the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Please read carefully all the safety measures provided below. We are following the described COVID policies to support a safe and enjoyable experience.

As our event approaches, please make sure to visit our events page for updated guidance.

Stay home if you are sick

If you are showing any potential symptoms of COVID-19, have tested positive for COVID-19, or have been in close contact with anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19 within 14 days of the event, then you need to stay home and notify us. Please stay home if you feel unwell or have any of the following symptoms:

  • Fever or chills
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Fatigue
  • Muscle or body aches
  • Headache
  • New loss of taste or smell
  • Sore throat
  • Congestion or runny nose
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Diarrhea

We encourage everyone to wear masks

Out of an abundance of caution and safety for all, our staff will be wearing masks throughout the event. We encourage all attendees to obtain a vaccination to protect themselves and others.

Unvaccinated individuals must wear masks at all times (except for eating and drinking).  Although not required, we still encourage vaccinated individuals to wear a mask. We will adhere to the CDC’s recommendations and will continue to provide updates or any applicable changes to this page.

Washing and disinfecting hands

Hand sanitizer stations will be set up throughout different areas of the event. Please be sure to wash your hands frequently per CDC’s recommendation.

Event venues

We work closely with the venues that host our events to ensure we follow all the requirements imposed by our local health agencies, including food and beverage services.

Any form of physical contact is highly discouraged

We respectfully request that all attendees respect people’s preferences as to whether they feel comfortable or not with physical contact.

Seating arrangements

At the moment, there are no requirements for social distancing by our local government. If any changes to distancing guidelines by the CDC or our government, we reserve the right to limit the number of tickets sold at each event. In an extreme case where social distancing parameters increase or an in-person cancelation occurs, we will contact you regarding event modification into a virtual option or reschedule our event date.
