Vandeventer Black is highly reputed in tax and ERISA litigation as well as sales, use, and local business tax issues.
With respect to real estate litigation, we are experienced in condemnation/land use, title disputes, development, riparian rights, lease disputes and community association representation. Our labor and employment litigation team is experienced in civil rights defense, wrongful discharge suits, benefits litigation, wage and hour disputes, disability discrimination, workers’ compensation defense and OSHA/VOSH litigation.
Our attorneys are licensed in Virginia, North Carolina, West Virginia, District of Columbia, New York, and Maryland, with extensive experience in state and federal courts on the East and Gulf Coasts of the U.S. Our federal court litigation experience includes multi-state litigation. We are involved in appellate practice in the First, Second, Fourth and Fifth Circuits and the U.S. Supreme Court.
